Vaginal tightening or vaginoplasty is a procedure to tighten the vaginal muscles or tissues.

Vaginal tightening is usually performed in woman whose vaginal muscles and tissues have become loose, stretched or torn after childbirth, weight changes or due to age.
How vaginal tightening is performed?
The procedure is usually performed on an outpatient basis under general or local anesthesia. Your surgeon makes a small incision in the perineum (area between the anus and the vaginal opening) and tightens the vaginal canal length or removes excess skin and tissues.
How long does the surgery take?
The entire procedure takes 1 to 2 hours.
How long is the healing time?
Following surgery, you may experience discomfort and swelling. Work may be resumed in two weeks, but you have to limit physical activities for 6 to 12 weeks. You may resume sexual activity after about 6 weeks.
What are the risks of vaginal tightening?
As with any procedure, vaginal tightening may involve certain risks and complications which include infections, bleeding, scarring, painful sex, loss of sensation and numbness.
